AmeriCorps *NCCC

Thank you AmeriCorps *NCCC gang...

I had a show last night in Maryland for the volunteers and staff at AmeriCorps *NCCC campus. I just want to thank all of you for being soooooooOOO sweet and fun and deep. it meant a lot to me to share the moment with you, to sing to you, to look out at you, to meet you. You all make a difference and the world needs you!!! I wish you an incredible journey and tons and tons of inspiration!! and a very special thanks to Monica Davis for coordinating the show. you are a bright light, girl. thanks again for all your love, everybody.

and here's a bit more inspiration that moved me right away when i read it. this poem was put in front of me by my good friend, John Vecchione and his wife, Natalie. thank you.

Nothing in life is to be feared.
It is only to be understood.
When you dare to face the things that scare you,
you open the door to freedom and success.
Most of your obstacles would melt away if,
instead of cowering before them
or procrastinating about dealing with them,
you make up your mind to walk boldly through them.
Don't be afraid to take the steps you need to take to make those positive changes in your life.
To fight your fears, you must act.
Your fears increase when you wait, put off, or postpone.
If you understood your situation enough,
you would never be afraid.
The attainment of your dreams is but a determined action away.
Successful people take action.

good stuff.

lovelovelovelove,
gina
