being
Hey all,
i just wanted to share what i've been thinking 'bout today. so...i had planned to do my regular post office visit for the day, sending press packets out in forces into the world. and they are lovely people at "my" post office. it's mine now.
anyway, my car broke down and as my yellow packages stared at me and the list of things i wanted to get done today wrapped my mind, all i could do is sit and look out the window at the clouds. that's not so bad. they said they'd be there in 2 hours. o.k. so this is where i started asking myself "who are you" questions. yeah, shit happens, so who are you choosing to be in this moment?? so, i chose right there- peaceful. the whole experience altered. the gray clouds were so luminous and i felt warm and very relaxed. when the tow guy arrived i was so so happy! he was greeted with me running out of the car smiling so big and shaking his hand. i thanked him for being in the world and for needing a cape. he laughed. by the end we were buds and he smiled to me and said goodbye. thanks, alan. my friend, natalie, picked me up and took me home. i was so happy to see her and chat and sing to her little boy in the backseat. so, i'm home now and realize- man! today could have been so different- and that's all great too. the point is, as i ramble- who i am "being" is up to me not the stuff that happens outside of me.
i'm thankful for sharing this with you- because YOU taught it to me. thank you.
as change happens to you in your life- who are you being? we have so much more say in our life than we think.
i was thinking of you guys in the car!
and thank you to those that have their copy of "For You" in their lives!!! i love picturing you listening to it in your car or on your computer or in your headphones... it's a fun daydream.
sending love,
gina
